October 14th, 2022
On Saturday, October 8th, we celebrated our dedicated volunteers at this year’s Volunteer Appreciation event. Our team of more than 350 volunteers continues to support our House and families in indescribable ways.
It seems as though every year is a “big” year at RMHC®, but this year in particular stands out as we look to open our new expansion in the near future. This year’s event was held at our House, giving our volunteers the opportunity to view this new space. We enjoyed lunch, shared laughs, took tours of the expansion, acknowledged those volunteers achieving service milestones and announced raffle winners.
Throughout the pandemic, our volunteers have offered to help in tremendous ways. Whether they are helping transport families to and from the hospital, tending to our Secret Garden, helping to make beds in guest rooms, greeting and welcoming visitors and donors or keeping our kitchen spaces clean and organized, they all show up every day with the same goal in mind. Every volunteer at RMHC goes above and beyond by trying their best to make our guest families feel at home as they are going through some of their most challenging moments.
It brings our entire staff great joy to show our appreciation towards the volunteers that support the operations of our House and our mission every single day. At this event in particular, it’s an honor to have the opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to each and every volunteer. Their service is admirable and we couldn’t operate without their commitment to our House and families.
Thank you, RMHC volunteers, for all that you do to make our House a home-away-from-home for our families!
