Sisters are your best friend, who make you laugh uncontrollably, are your strength and that positive voice that tells you to keep fighting. They give you hope, whispering I love you when you need to hear it most. This Sunday is National Sister’s Day, which is celebrated around the world between families reflecting on how grateful they are for their brave and loving sisters.
At RMHC sisters are courageous, they make the scary things more enjoyable by simply squeezing your hand and smiling. They play foosball with you in the basement, laughing as the ball goes from one side to the other. They compete with you to see who can swing the highest on the jungle gym, where you feel on top of the world as the swing reaches the top and your legs dangle down. They also dress up like beautiful princesses, with the crown on their head as they prepare a tea party in the playroom just for you.
Your little sister is your shadow, trying to keep up with your every movement. The big sisters are always on the lookout for their little siblings, tying to give them advice and help them navigate life. By keeping families together, a sister can play with her siblings, spreading laughter and making memories in the process. RMHC makes this possible by having sisters stay at the house with their siblings. Happy National Sister’s Day!
