House Resolutions 2017

January 30th, 2017

Hi! My name is Simone Gaspar and I’m the administrative assistant here at the House. As 2017 begins, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on some of the great things that took place last year. From a new website launch, to welcoming therapy rabbits to our pet therapy program, and most importantly serving every family that needed a place to call home, there has been so much positive change and growth. We are once again able to say that we did not have to turn a single family away in 2016, which is something we are all proud of and grateful for. We have also been especially fortunate in receiving a multitude of generous donations, making our House stronger than ever. Because of this, our House programs have been able to flourish, creating happy moments for our families!
With the New Year comes new resolutions. To some that means drinking more water, signing up for gym memberships, and attempts at becoming a shiny new “you.” But here at RMHC we want to turn 2017 into a brighter year for all of our families. Here are some of our staff’s New Year’s Resolutions.
RMHC 2017 House Resolutions
Be more involved in all aspects of the House to better understand the work that everyone contributes to the mission and find ways to help and contribute more.
Spend more time thanking our donors for their support, by making phone calls and writing more hand written notes.
Spend more time alongside our volunteers to let them know how grateful we are for their gift of time.
Find creative ways to recruit and engage incoming volunteers to help serve our families and the share in spreading our mission.
Maintain the healthy financial status of RMHC.
Continue our 4-star Charity Navigator rating.
Engage the community with our mission by sharing stories about the families we serve and the donors that support us.
To strengthen the relationships we build with our guest families, particularly families facing long-term stays, to ensure they feel fully supported and cared for by the House from beginning to end of every stay.
To continually help make the Ronald McDonald House feel like a home.
