Job Summary:

The Donor-Centric Development Director will play a key role in developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy that focuses on cultivating meaningful relationships with existing and prospective donors. The ideal candidate will be an empathetic relationship-builder with a proven track record in major gifts and donor engagement in the nonprofit sector, particularly within the healthcare or family-centered philanthropy space.  They will lead a team of development staff who will work with defined portfolios of revenue streams to fuel the mission of RMHC. 

Key Responsibilities:

Fundraising Strategy and Campaigns: 

  • Lead the development and execution of an annual fundraising strategy to meet or exceed revenue goals, including major gifts, annual giving campaigns, and special events. 
  • Oversee the design and management of capital campaigns and planned giving initiatives, with a focus on driving sustainable funding for RMHC’s operations and future growth. 
  • Partner with the marketing and communications team to craft compelling messages and stories that resonate with donors and support the organization’s fundraising efforts. 

Team Leadership and Collaboration: 

  • Supervise and mentor development team members, providing guidance and support to help them achieve individual and team goals. 
  • Collaborate closely with the President/CEO, Board of Directors, volunteers, and staff to ensure the successful implementation of the development strategy. 
  • Assist in the training and engagement of volunteers who are involved in fundraising events and campaigns, fostering a culture of philanthropy throughout the organization. 

Donor Relationship Management: 

  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with major donors, foundations, corporations, and community supporters to secure significant funding for the mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities. 
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive stewardship plan, ensuring that donors feel recognized and appreciated for their gifts. 
  • Engage regularly with donors, providing updates on the impact of their support and sharing stories from families who have benefited from RMHC services. 
  • Personalize donor engagement strategies based on their interests, passions, and giving capacity, ensuring a high level of donor satisfaction and long-term retention. 

Donor Cultivation and Acquisition: 

  • Identify new donor prospects and design targeted strategies for cultivating relationships with potential major donors, sponsors, and community partners. 
  • Leverage the support of RMHC board members, volunteers, and staff to expand the organization’s network of potential donors. 
  • Ensure seamless donor experiences from first-time gifts through to ongoing engagement, focusing on long-term relationships and increased lifetime giving.

Data Management and Reporting: 

  • Utilize the donor management system to maintain accurate donor records, track contributions, and segment donor pools for targeted outreach. 
  • Regularly analyze donor data to identify trends, opportunities for growth, and strategies to increase donor retention. 
  • Provide detailed fundraising reports to the President/CEO and Board of Directors, tracking progress against revenue goals and highlighting major donor achievements. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, or a related field. 
  • 7-10 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a proven track record in major gift fundraising and donor stewardship. 
  • 5+ years in leading a development team 
  • Passion for the mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities and a commitment to supporting families with seriously ill children. 
  • Strong knowledge of fundraising principles, best practices, and donor engagement strategies. 
  • Proficiency in donor management software. 
  • Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to connect with donors from diverse backgrounds. 
  • Strategic thinking combined with a hands-on, detail-oriented approach to executing fundraising campaigns. 
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and collaborate effectively within a team.

Maintenance Manager

Status: Full-time hourly (40 hours/week)

Job Summary:

Ronald McDonald House Charities Eastern Wisconsin is seeking a skilled, reliable, and service-minded Maintenance Manager to join our team. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and overall condition of our facility, helping to provide a comfortable and welcoming environment for our families with seriously ill children.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on maintenance expertise, strong organizational skills and a commitment to the mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities. This position will assist with overseeing the preventative maintenance and general repairs of building systems, while working collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and vendors to support the daily operations of the House.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily maintenance operations for the 100,000+ sq. ft. facility.
  • Perform daily maintenance repairs, and upkeep of common areas, building systems, and guest rooms (as needed).
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests submitted by guest families and staff, as well as facility-related emergencies.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems.
  • Monitor compliance with safety, health and building codes, and ensure proper functioning of life-safety equipment (e.g. fire alarms, sprinklers, extinguishers, etc.).
  • Coordinate and supervise outside vendors and contractors, as well as monitor adherence to facilities-specific contract guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance requests and repairs completed through CMMS software.
  • Complete facility checks of long-term rooms and suites in the room turnover process in a timely manner (e.g. paint touch up, inspecting bathroom fixtures, inspecting furniture condition, etc.).
  • Assist Facilities Director with managing and tracking maintenance repairs and developing preventative maintenance budgets.
  • Assist with overseeing ground maintenance in collaboration with the Landscape and Grounds Coordinator, by establishing delineation of duties.
  • Assist in maintaining a facilities calendar with annual inspections and permit renewal dates.
  • Assist in managing the organization of overflow stock and supplies in appropriate areas.
  • Communicate frequently with Operations team on the status of repairs and/or upcoming preventative maintenance work to be completed, to ensure guest family experience is minimally impacted.
  • Occasionally assist with overseeing internal facility volunteers or volunteer groups that may assist with indoor or outdoor facilities-related projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Facilities Director.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Trade certification(s) or vocational training preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities, management, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of building systems (e.g. plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, carpentry, painting, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and manuals
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
  • Familiarity with CMMS software
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and seek out projects to complete or areas needing attention
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and respond to emergencies as needed

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical maintenance tasks
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work in a variety of environments (indoor/outdoor, hot/cold, confined spaces)
  • Ability to respond and assist in after-hour emergencies
  • Occasional travel for pick-up of ordered supplies, equipment, or plants

Schedule Expectations:

  • Full-time (40 hours/week) schedule
  • Daytime shifts, and one weekday, evening shift availability
  • Flex weekday schedule every 3-4 weeks to include one weekend of coverage, in rotation with other Facilities staff
  • Ability to be part of a rotating on-call for emergencies (this will typically coincide with scheduled weekend coverage)

Part-Time Family Room Coordinator

Department: Operations
Reports to: Family Room Manager
Status: Part-time Hourly $16.00/hour
Available shifts: Alternating weekends (Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.)

Overview:

In August of 2021, Rogers Behavioral Health (RBH) opened the Ladish Co. Foundation Center that includes the Rogers Research Center, Rogers Behavioral Health Foundation, a chapel and meditation garden for spiritual care, community rooms, a boardroom, and the Ronald McDonald Family Room®. The Family Room is a welcoming, home-like space where parents and families visiting a loved one at Rogers can watch a movie, enjoy a snack, play a game, or even take a nap while coping with the emotional demands of having a loved one in treatment.

Job Description:

The Family Room Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the operation of the RMHC Eastern Wisconsin Family Room (in Oconomowoc). The Family Room is open 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. 7 days/week. The Family Room Coordinator will report to the Family Room Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Family Room guests, visitors, and volunteers are provided with a clean, comfortable, and safe environment in accordance with established operating policies and standards, while always leading with compassion
  • Responsible for activities related to serving Family Room guests, including check-ins and check-outs, family tours, assisting family needs during their visit, and addressing any situations that arise while on-duty
  • Full understanding of both RMHC and Rogers policies and procedures, enforcing and explaining policies and procedures to guests when necessary
  • Responsible for proper documentation and reporting throughout shift, including shift notes and database entry; ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and security of sensitive information
  • Responsible for clear and concise communication with hospital staff and families as to who may utilize the Family Room
  • Attend occasional Family Room staff meetings and trainings
  • Establish a professional and friendly relationship with all volunteers
  • Ensure all volunteer duties are completed, stepping in to complete the duties if a volunteer is not available
  • Lead Family Room tours for donors and visitors, as requested
  • Greet and steward Family Room snack/meal groups as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by the Family Room Manager

Qualifications:

  • Passion for the RMHC mission and core values
  • High School degree and two years college experience or equivalent management experience
  • Work experience in a non-profit, social-service organization, customer service or other related employment
  • Must exhibit a high level of responsibility, maturity, and be dependable
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, and adaptable
  • Approachable and easy to talk to, pleasant and gracious to guest families, colleagues, donors and volunteers
